Summer rain

Quite often I find myself in this
melodramatic mode
watching the trams sliding down the quiet
city road
like a Saturday night ode written
for the lonely city souls
when people are having an affair
with their sadly twisted minds
when you’re not here
and when you’re hard to find
when red-eyed dogs are barking at the moon
stray cats trying to look graceful, sexy and cool
on this misunderstood night
filled with misunderstood feelings
when I miss you, baby
I miss you like a drunk fool
it takes an insane woman
to keep this dreamer sane
I miss you, baby
I miss you, my
Summer rain.
