We used to
make love
for fun
but slowly it
became a
burden.
I like to blame
that
on the pressures of
life,
tiredness.
but the real truth is,
maybe—and this is just
a thought—
maybe
commitment is
to blame.
with time
commitment creates
pressure,
pressure creates
routine,
routine creates
boredom
and boredom
is in huge
need
for novelty
which,
again,
creates new
pressure.
and I know—
lots of you
people
won’t agree with
me—
but
you can’t cook
chicken tandoori
without
a good recipe,
and for that
one needs a
hot spice.
so do we.
